Thermometer Component Using Degrafa
Here’s another skinning sample done with the Degrafa framework using the same methods mentioned in previous posts. It’s a thermometer type component created using a VSlider. Skins were created for the VSlider trackSkin and thumbSkin.
And another variation:

IMPRESSIVE !!!
i want the code.
here is a challenge:
for a long time i want to make a “round slider” but never found the time…
here is an example of the idea (found with Google):

the outer ring is the ‘track’ and the green light is the ‘thumb’ of the slider.
how hard is it to make it with Degrafa?!
(can u also make the knob in the center?)

Currently that is not possible in Degrafa, but it is part of the road map of where we’d like to take it. Right now we’re focusing on the basic geometry portion of the framework, which is part of the first stage we’re thinking of making public, and after that we’re going to start tackling things like the ability to do what you mentioned.

Good stuff. I look forward for a beta of some kind. Would you be interested to get interviewed? Drop me a line, and keep in touch.

Nicolas,
We’re working hard to get the first stage of Degrafa prepped for it’s first open source release. As far as being interviewed, we’re always up for sharing information about what we’re doing, so fire away;)

Wow guys! The possibilities for this are endless. I can’t wait to see where you take it.

C’mon guys show us the code to prove this is not all smoke and mirrors.
It’s one thing to get us all excited by showing examples of what Degrafa can do but a lot of us won’t actually believe it until we can see the code behind what you’re showing.
Enough teasing already - lets see if this stuff is for real!
